CIAPPE AND FOCACCIA

The "Ciappa" of Liguria was born in ancient times, when long-lasting forms of dry bread were needed to overcome periods of famine. In the Ligurian dialect "Ciappa" means flat and thin stone and indicates the traditional Ligurian slate roof covering. In western Liguria, "Ciappa" also indicates a traditional thin flat bread, crunchy and crumbly, made with wheat flour and olive oil olive.

Focaccia is  a typical product of Liguria. Crunchy, crumbly, tasty  it is ideal to be enjoyed at any time of the day.
